Celebrating the Success of Leasing Training Academy Baltimore Leasing League 8 Graduates

Posted By: Taji Burris LTA News,

The Maryland Multi-Housing Association (MMHA) is proud to celebrate the graduates of Leasing Training Academy (LTA) Baltimore Leasing League 8! In September, 10 dedicated students successfully completed the intensive workforce development program and took an exciting step toward building careers in Maryland’s multifamily housing industry.

Throughout the academy, students participated in a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on activities, industry tours, career readiness workshops, mock interviews, and real-world leasing scenarios. Each experience was designed to help students build the knowledge, confidence, and professional skills needed to transition into entry-level leasing positions and thrive in the multifamily industry.

The graduates of Baltimore Leasing League 8 demonstrated tremendous commitment throughout the program. They challenged themselves, supported one another, welcomed feedback, and continued developing both personally and professionally. Their growth from the first day of class through graduation was a reminder of what the Leasing Training Academy is all about: creating pathways to opportunity and preparing the next generation of multifamily professionals.

We are especially excited to share that 8 of the 10 graduates have already secured employment. With 80% of the graduating class beginning their careers in the industry, Baltimore Leasing League 8 continues LTA’s strong record of connecting training directly to meaningful employment opportunities.

This accomplishment would not be possible without our incredible LTA Placement Partners and industry supporters. From participating in mock interviews and welcoming students into their communities to reviewing resumes, interviewing graduates, and ultimately offering employment opportunities, our partners play an essential role in the success of the academy. Their continued investment in LTA graduates not only changes individual lives but also helps build a stronger and more diverse talent pipeline for Maryland’s multifamily housing industry.

We also remain grateful for our continued partnership with the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC). Through this collaboration, our students have access to a professional learning environment and resources that support their development as they prepare to enter the workforce.

Baltimore Leasing League 8 also marked a special milestone in the history of the Leasing Training Academy with the introduction of our first-ever LTA Class Valedictorian. This new honor recognizes a graduate who demonstrated exceptional academic performance, professionalism, participation, and commitment throughout the program.

We are proud to recognize Arial Alston as the first Class Valedictorian of the Leasing Training Academy. Arial’s achievement sets a new tradition for future LTA cohorts and represents the level of excellence we encourage every student to pursue.

Graduation may mark the completion of the academy, but for these graduates, it is only the beginning. As they enter the multifamily housing industry and continue developing their careers, we look forward to seeing the impact they will make on their teams, their residents, and the communities they serve.

Their accomplishments demonstrate what is possible when motivated individuals are connected with high-quality training, supportive industry partners, and meaningful career opportunities.

Congratulations to Baltimore Leasing League 8! MMHA is proud of everything you have accomplished, and we cannot wait to see where your careers take you next.
